C’est Magnifique!

C’est Magnifique!

A beautifully restored manor house, in the heart of some of the most spectacular countryside in France, Bardouly lives up to both the property description as well as other visitors' 5-star reviews. It was a very, very special place to spend Spring break. The house has been lovingly restored, with many of the original features, and retains its charm and authenticity, while also providing a modern level of comfort and convenience. Each bedroom is individually decorated with beautiful furnishings and antiques, and all of the bathrooms are modern and luxurious. The common areas are spacious, and also tastefully furnished. The kitchen is modern and well-equipped, although larger groups should definitely think about hiring a cook. Both the house and the grounds provide a great deal to do for guests of all ages -- tennis, swimming (although the weather in early April was decidedly chilly), etc. The game room has games, activities and TV. A car is a definite must if you have plans to explore the surrounding area, the only difficulty will be deciding in which direction to head--vineyards, outstanding restaurants, charming market villages, beautiful churches, and the like can be found anywhere from fifteen minutes to two hours away. The owners are quite knowledgeable and helpful in suggesting outings and providing advice and directions, as well as being very responsive to any issues or concerns that might arise during your stay. I really can't say enough about what a beautiful time we had, and how very much I hope we can return again.
