A truly 5 star experience!

Country living at its best. The perks of very comfortable enormous bedrooms with bathroom en suite with lovely linen, half the guests had to be torn from their bedrooms, enjoying the luxurious experience they offered. Thoughtful extra cosy wool blankets when needed and shower gels and shampoo are provided by request so one less thing to pack in the luggage. The house boasts a swimming pool under the pigieonnier and a secluded tennis court and acres of land for beautiful walks nested in gorgeous countryside. A large house where one never feels crowded, and always space to find oneself, whether tinkling on the piano in the well proportioned drawing room, or my favourite space in a divine walled garden. Bardouly is situated in the Perigord region, the heart of gourmet cooking and wine in France, where one finds oneself exploring the local villages which were charming. It was enchanting to explore the local restaurants if not lured by the cooking at Bardouly, done in our case by a local french cook, whom we hired which was magnificent. A pleasure to dine in the elegant panelled dining room, or breakfast in the enormous kitchen. We have left feeling completely rested and at peace...
